The conference welcomes papers on the following themes:
VET teacher education, papers focusing on specific challenges for VET teacher education, such as recruitment, teacher competencies, relations and interactions with students, role of teachers etc.
VET systems and policies, we invite submissions for academic texts exploring the theme. This theme aims to deepen understanding of how VET systems are designed, governed, and adapted to meet evolving economic, social, and technological challenges across different countries and regions.
Vocational didactics, vocational knowing and vocational pedagogics. This theme focuses on the specific nature of teaching and learning in vocational education, emphasizing the interplay between knowledge, practice, and pedagogy in vocational contexts. Furthermore, we welcome papers that deals with challenges of organizing teaching in different contexts, for example classrooms and workplace.
Migration, inclusion and the role of VET. This theme addresses the vital role VET plays in promoting social and economic inclusion for migrants, refugees, and other displaced or marginalized groups in diverse societies. Papers who adress in particular the car industry in the inclusion of migrants in the labor market and society are specifically welcome.
Digitalization, AI and social media and the challenges for VET. This theme focuses on how digital technologies—especially artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and social media—are transforming the nature of vocational work, learning environments, and pedagogical practices.
